Obituary of Robert P. Drum
Robert P. Drum, age 75 of Rexford passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Ellis Hospital. Born on June 25, 1943 in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Robert and Dorothy Drum. He was predeceased by his sister Judy VanDerwerf, and his brother John Drum.
Robert retired after a 35-year career in the banking industry, last working as an executive for Fleet Services Co. He was a past president of Junior Plainsman football and coached many of his son’s sports teams. He served as an elder of the First Church in Albany.
He is survived by his wife Donna Drum, sons Joseph (Kathy) Drum, John (Amy) Drum, Kenneth (Judy) Drum, and David (Amy) Drum, brothers Michael and Phillip Drum, and sister Nancy Hunter. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jennifer, Melissa, Katelyn, Matthew, Bobby, Richard, Claire, Brian, Skyler, Bill, and Ryan, and great-granddaughters Lillian and Adalynn, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9 in Clifton Park, with a memorial service on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the First Church in Albany, 110 North Pearl St.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Capital City Rescue Mission, 259 So. Pearl St., Albany, NY 12202.
