Obituary of William J. Chromik
William J. “Bill” Chromik, Jr., age 67 of Ballston Lake passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born on April 4, 1951, he was the son of the late William and Ada Chromik. He was predeceased by his sister Patricia Chromik.
Bill graduated from Guilderland High School and Hudson Valley Community College. He worked at GE as a draftsman prior to enlisting in the Air Force. He finished his 20-year military career with the Air National Guard, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. He was employed by the National Weather Service in Albany and retired in 2011. He enjoyed watching sports, and was an avid fan of the NY Giants. Bill was an animal lover and was especially fond of alpacas.
He is survived by his wife Martha Chromik, son Paul (Juliana) Chromik, daughter Amanda Chromik, cousins Jim (Nancy) Robinson, Lisa (Chino), Nina, Inti, Jeffrey (Kelly), Drake, Garrett, and Carlie. Bill is also survived by his beloved dog Toby.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral Mass Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Crescent. Burial will be in Saratoga National Cemetery.
