Hello, I just want to express my sincere sorrow and heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of Dale Samson.
Dale and I were good friends for 45 years and had many common interests together, and I will NEVER forget him!
I also had the priveledge last week to attend his funeral and spend the day with his friends and family at his daughter and son-in-laws home and met everyone.
I am happy to say in this sad time that Dale, and his family are, and always will be in my thoughts and prayers, knowing that he was surrounded in his life with love, decency, and honor.
How wonderful!

Dear Rebecca and family - Words may not suffice to express the heartfelt sorrow that we feel for the passing of your father, but please accept our condolences and we will be sure to include Dale in our prayers.
I have know Dale for more than 30 years, and am proud to call him a dear friend. I've always enjoyed the time we spent together; car shows, gun shows, gun club, time at each others house, day trips/drives, but most of all, just hanging out or talking on the phone. Dale was a kind person who really cared about other people (he always inquired about my family). Dale was willing to help others, listened to their issues, and he was very proud of his family. Dale will be missed very much, but never forgotten.

Dale, I feel terrible that I didn't have the chance to tell you in person, but I want you to know now just how much you mean to me. I actually had some words put together that I wanted to say to you in person when I got back home, but since I didn't have the chance I know you'll be able to see them now. Growing up with a father who left when I was so young, I went my first 10 years without a male role model, my mother's age until we met you. My grandfather was very special to me and was a father in many ways but he was still older and there was still somewhat of a gap for a male role model my mother's age. Until you came into our lives.
In so many ways, you were like a step dad to me, and I owe a great deal to you. Between going camping, and hiking and shooting with you, as well as many other things, you really made a lot of dreams come true for me. There were many things, things that have strongly influenced the man I am today, that were directly attributed to you. You fostered my interest in the outdoors, you helped influence my studies at RPI, you helped shape my career ambitions and you even taught me how to drive stick. When I think back there wasn't much that you weren't involved in during my formative years. When I got to work as an engineer at GE during my co-op, I was so proud that I got to work at the same place as you, thanks in large part to your influence and support. When I got to share some of my experiences with my time working for the Department of Defense with you, it meant the world to me that you were interested and impressed with what I had accomplished. And most recently when I have been able to share some of my knowledge, experience and opinions as a federal law enforcement officer with you, it made me feel like I really had grown up and achieved what I wanted.
I truly regret that you won't be here in person to see my first child upon her arrival this December, a daughter of my own. I can only hope to be as patient and helpful to her as you were with me. I truly hope I've made you proud of me, and the man I've become. I truly hope you know how much you've meant to me. Thank you for everything.
Rebecca, though we only met a few times, I hope you'll reach out if there's anything I can do. Please accept my condolences for your loss. You and your family will remain in my prayers.
