We are so sorry to hear about Doreen's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family. Hang in there Georgie. Doreen was so much fun and always made us laugh. We were always ready when Doreen and Georgie were coming to VA for a visit. She probably has some choice words for everyone now. She and Betty are probably creating havoc together - cared so much about both of them. See you again some day.

Jim has kept me posted on Doreen's valiant fight against this terrible disease. I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember her as so spirited and fiery.
I don't think I ever won an argument with her! She was definitely Betty's daughter.
Knowing you and Jim for almost 60 yrs, and Doreen for almost 50 years, I can only imagine the loss you feel, but will say:
"Time is time"!
That's what I was told after Bev passed. Everyone's "time" is different.
Take baby steps and you'll know what the correct time for you will be.

Doreen was the kindest, generous, loving person I could ever have been blessed to know. She was funny, talkative, (those of you who knew her, know what I mean), and she was always upbeat. She loved her family more than life. There was nothing that Doreen would not do for her family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and anyone who was lucky enough to have been a part of her life.
She may no longer be here on earth, but she will be watching over all of us, protecting us, and forever in our hearts.
