MaryAnn Tozzi, age 76 of Halfmoon passed away on Sunday, June 29th, 2014 with her family by her side after a courageous battle with diabetes. Born on August 20th, 1937 in Albany, she was the daughter of the late James and Marie (Bleichert) Fronk. She was predeceased by her brother James Fronk Jr., and an infant brother George. MaryAnn was a 1956 graduate of Colonie Central High School. She was an inspector for Bendix Brakes in Green Island for 16 years before her early retirement in 1983. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church of Crescent NY, Schenectady Planetarium, the Colony Cove Friendly Social Club and the New York Club both of Ellenton, FL where she enjoyed residing with her husband during the winter months for the past 11 years. Among her many interests were cake decorating, cooking, astronomy club, ceramics club, birds, plants, gardening, traveling, genealogy, and reading. She loved to create cakes for her families special occasions and her children and grandchildren’s birthdays. Above all, her greatest joy was to spend time with her beloved family. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Antonio Tozzi, daughters Sharon (Daniel) Devane, Susan (John) Ferrara, sons Anthony (Carole) Tozzi, Michael G. Tozzi, Robert Tozzi, and Andrew Tozzi, siblings William (Phyllis) Fronk, Jack (Kathy) Fronk, and Kathy Nelli, and her beloved Aunt Ruth Hans. She is also survived by grandchildren Candice (Ronnie) Rose, Jennifer Murdza, Dr. Christopher Tozzi, Austin Tozzi, Joshua Holden, Amanda Tozzi, Elizabeth Devane, Michael A. Tozzi, Joshua Tozzi, Meghan Devane, and Matthew Tozzi, and great-granddaughters Kailey and Paige. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral Mass Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Crescent. Burial will be in Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
