She volunteered supporting the fireman by cooking meal for them during fires, or helping at fund raising events like Pancake Breakfast, Field Days or anything the department was involved in. She loved the department and being a volunteer by helping her community.  She gave of her time volunteering for events or answering phones for the Children’s Miracle Network and the Children’s Hospital at Albany Med Telethon; the MDA Telethon and supported them whenever she could.  Volunteering with the Clifton Park Fire Department has been a family affair with her serving along her children Arthur Hunsinger Past Chief, Ellen Martin current President, grandson Marcus Hunsinger currently a Lieutenant and her son James and Grandson Michael Paul who both served for a time.
