Even though I never knew his name, I loved coming to his shop. He made so many fine repairs and restorations for me, even when he wasn't sure he could do them, but he did. And I appreciated him so much. The scents of leather and shoe polish remain in my mind. There aren't many craftsmen like him left these days. Rest in peace, Patrick. You will be very much missed.
