I am so very sorry! Chuck and I started as business acquaintances and quickly graduated to being friends. He was a good friend to me and my family for many years. I will miss him.
Condolences to Kathy and his children, their spouses, and his grandchildren. He loved you all. You loved him.
The world has lost a very special person.

Your dad (and mom, of course) was always very generous and hospitable to me.
I am very grateful to have gotten to meet him and know him. Whenever I visited, I was always made to feel like a member of the family.
God bless his soul, and may he Rest in Peace.

Sending my condolences to Chuck's family. I knew him for 25 years while working in the LTC industry. He was so personable, funny, and just the nicest man. He always talked about his family. My thoughts go out to everyone who loved him..

Dear Kathy, Mary, Terri, Joe, Laura and families:
I share your sorrow, feel your grief and experience the loss caused by the passing of Chuck, husband, father, grandfather and dear friend.
Over my 33 year friendship with Chuck, I came to know him as intelligent, caring, empathic, funny, passionate, thoughtful and wise. A person who loved his family above all else! He talked endlessly about how proud he was of you all.
The only thing that came close was his admiration for the Saints of Sienna. Attending a basketball or baseball game with him was a true lesson in sports and introduction to the breadth of knowledge he had of rules of the game. Watching him was to see a person immersed in joy and happiness. And yes, an occasional glimpse of, anger. He took everything to heart.
My first and continuing involvement with Chuck, was his work as a Financial Consultant. I quickly found he had a commanding knowledge of Insurance and Estate Planning. A quick mind and serious concern for his clients, along with his knowledge made him an excellent mentor. I owe much of my success to him. Over the years we brain stormed insurance solutions for my clients while I assisted him with investment ideas for his.
I was fortunate to have been welcomed as part of the family. Hence, I witnessed firsthand his love of life and his beloved grandchildren.
I’ll forever be with you in sprit, thru thoughts and prayers, as you now enjoy the rewards of a Life well lived. Welcomed into the arms of the Lord!

I was so sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. He was the best CE instructor I ever had. I learned a lot from him and used some of his techniques when I started teaching CE classes. He would start the class by telling everyone to put away their phones and newspapers before he would start. "If you're not here to learn, you can leave right now". He was one of a kind

My condolences to Kathy and Mary, Terri, Joe, and Laura and their families. He loved you very, very much and you did a tremendous job taking care of him.
Chuck was a great Big Brother, as well as a great husband and father and all of the other wonderful accolades mentioned in his obituary. He was my Big Brother in every sense of the word. Twelve years older, I always looked up to him. He bought me my first baseball glove, my first wristwatch, and my first fishing pole, but more importantly, he taught me how to play baseball, how to work hard, how to dress well, and how to be make conversation with anyone. I remember going with my Dad to pick him up from work at Central Market and then Dan Donahue and Simon's Mens Wear. I remember how easily he could have a conversation with anyone. I'd say "How do you know him" and he'd say "I've never seen him before." I never did make it to the major leagues, but I did become a successful salesman largely due to his influence. Coincidentally, I even followed in his footsteps by marrying a "Kathy" and living in Pittsburgh and Connecticut for a time.
We'll all miss him terribly, but we know he's in heaven now.

Chuck Chera wore many hats and to me I am proud that he was and will always be my uncle Chuck. Although taken to soon, he has contributed more to his community and family than anyone I have ever come to know. I look forward to seeing you again uncle Chuck, welcomed with one of your signature big hugs and smiles.

My sincere condolences to Chuck’s Family. Chuck made a huge difference in my life as he introduced me to Rotary. His invitation to join the Twin Bridges Rotary Club (which he founded) was one of the best invitations I ever accepted. Chuck was one of my biggest supporters who believed in me and encouraged me to do things I never thought I could do. I was privileged to work with Chuck for a short time in the world of Insurance and Investments. Chuck was a wonderful teacher and cheered me on all the way to passing my NYS Exam. Chuck was the first one I called when I learned I passed my exam, and he just kept saying “ I knew you could do it” and told me how proud he was of me. I have many wonderful memories of Chuck, and I will always keep him close with those memories. I appreciate his friendship and the fatherly advice he was always willing to give. He will be truly missed. Rest In Peace my Friend.
