Obituary of Matthew W. Barber

Matthew W. Barber, age 34 of Ballston Lake passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 surrounded by his mother and his aunt Sue Roberts. He was born on January 25, 1987 in Glens Falls. He was predeceased by his loving grandparents Grandma and Grandpa Duke. Matthew resided at CFDS IRA for several years before recently returning home to live with his family. Matthew enjoyed music, especially Garth Brooks and Raffi. He enjoyed John Deere tractors; and loved riding on the tractor with his half-brother Brett Ward. He had a special love for his two Golden Retrievers, Fred and Max. He loved his family and especially enjoyed having picnics and parties with his Aunt Sue. Matthew loved all of the Holidays and opening presents. He is survived by his mother Donna Barber, his step-dad Richard Ward, his half-brother Brett Ward, and his aunt Sue Roberts. The family would like to thank the Community Hospice Chaplain Tom R., social workers Karen B., and Joyce C. for all of the loving care they provided to Matthew. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, February 27th from 12 to 1 p.m. with a funeral service at 1 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, in Clifton Park.
