Obituary of Ella Mae Gepfert

Ella Mae Gepfert, age 79 of Halfmoon passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 7, 2021. Born on October 25, 1941 in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Anna Santspree. She was predeceased by her husband Edward Gepfert Jr. Ella worked as a hairdresser before spending her career with the Shenendehowa Central School District, working as a monitor and as a bus driver for over 40 years. She was an avid stock car racing fan and enjoyed attending races. She is survived by her daughter Patricia (Jacob) Weber, her grandsons Jacob (Erin) Weber Jr., Paul Weber, and Zachary Weber. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 11th from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., with a service at 11:30 a.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc. 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park. Burial will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204, MohawkHumaneSociety.org, or to the Shenendehowa Bountiful Backpack Program.
