Jean A. Wagar, age 95 of Halfmoon passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. Born on August 10, 1925 in Averill Park, she was the daughter of the late William and Edith Adams. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Fredrick John Wagar. daughter Cynthia Coulter, and her son Todd Wagar. Jean earned her CDL license and was the first local female school bus driver in the 1960’s, and last worked as head teller of KeyBank in Waterford. She was an avid crocheter and made over 100 Afghan blankets for the disabled vets at the Albany VA Hospital. Jean will be missed by all who knew her. Her kindness, sense of humor, and charity work will always be remembered. She is survived by her daughters Christina L. Wagar, and Claudia (Douglas) LeBarron, 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, and many dearly loved nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held on Monday, July 12 from 10 to 11 a.m., with a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park. Burial will be Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Richard Boehler, MD of CDPHP Landmark for all of the wonderful care he provided to Jean. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Clifton Park/Halfmoon Emergency Corps., Attn: Community Development, 15 Crossing Blvd., Clifton Park, NY 12065.
