Concetta R. (Pasley) Chapin, nee Tomaselli, formerly of Clifton Park and Venice, Florida, died on October 24, after suffering from Alzheimer's for four years. Born in Utica, N.Y. In 1916, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Tomaselli and the sole surviving sibling of eleven brothers and sisters. She is predeceased by her beloved husbands Francis Aloysius Pasley, and J. William Chapin, and her brothers and sisters: Joseph Tomaselli, Peter Tomaselli, Patrick Tomaselli, Samuel Tomaselli, Anthony Tomaselli, John Tomaselli, Theresa Tomaselli, Catherine Cairns, Nan Tine, and Sally Roberts. Connie received her RN degree from St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing in Utica in 1937 and was a pediatric nurse at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Utica and was also employed by the Utica Visiting Nurse Association. She was a Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps during WW II and served as a general duty nurse in station hospitals from June, 1942 to December, 1945 in the African Middle Eastern and Mediterranean Theaters in North Africa, Pantellaria, Sicily and Southern Italy. Connie spent many years dedicated to raising a family of five children in Glenville and was active in the community and with her church. In Florida she did volunteer work with the Venice hospice organization. She is survived by her children, Peter Pasley(Beverly), Suzanne Pasley(Stephen Barry), Carolyn Pasley, Eileen Federico (Anthony), and Willow Pasley(James Price); her grandchildren Laura Clarke, Sean Pasley, Michael Pasley, Oliver Barry, Ruby Barry and Ted Price; her great grandchildren Cameryn, Paige and Landon and many loving nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a loving, compassionate, and supportive mother, sister, neighbor, and friend. Her strength of character and great faith will continue to be an inspiration. The family is grateful for the loving and respectful care Connie received from the staff at the Eddy Village Green. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral Mass Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 2001 Ushers Rd., Round Lake.
