Walter Andrew Kleinschrod, age 93 of Rexford passed away peacefully surrounded by members of his loving family on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the Coburg Village Retirement Center. He was born on January 1, 1928 in Queens, NY.

 

After serving in the Army Air Force, Walter spent his career as a business journalist with New York based magazine publisher Geyer-McAllister Publications for 32 years, eventually becoming editorial director and a senior vice-president. He wrote mainly about the introduction of computers and the effects they had on office procedures. After his retirement, the Kleinschrod family moved to Clifton Park. In retirement he authored nine business books and produced video documentaries. Along with his wife Patricia; he enjoyed traveling and spent many winters in their Naples, FL condo.

 

He is survived by his wife Patricia, daughters Kathy, Linda, Mary, Jeanne, and Carol, 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

 

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 22nd from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral service on Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Saratoga National Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
