Obituary of Hannah G. Benson-Bernstein

Hannah G. Benson-Bernstein, age 93 of Clifton passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Born on December 10, 1927 in Vienna, Austria, she was the daughter of the late Erwin and Rosa Lengyel. She was predeceased by her first husband Alex Benson and many beloved felines.

Hannah spent 40 years with NYS and retired as the Assistant Regional Administrator for the Office of Disability Determinations. She enjoyed singing opera in workshops in NYC and at the 92^nd St. YMCA. She was an avid follower of politics and was always willing to give her opinion. She was known as a voracious reader and a fantastic cook.

She is survived by her husband Edward M. Bernstein, daughter Gwen Sorensen, son Mark Benson, and her grandchildren Eric and Alex Sorensen.

All funeral services will be private.
