Obituary of Harold R. "Hal" Martin

Harold R. “Hal” Martin, age 61 of Halfmoon passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on October 21, 2021.  Born on June 25, 1960, he was the son of the late Leo and Norma Martin. He was predeceased by his sister Helen Covel.

Harold spent his career as a truck driver, and last worked for S.M. Gallivan. He was an active Life Member of the Clifton Park Fire Dept., where he served as a Past Captain and currently a Fire Commissioner.
 

He is survived by his wife of 31 years Ellenmarie Martin, sister Heather (Bradley) Bartlett, brothers-in-law Arthur and James Hunsinger, sister-in-law Beatrice Hunsinger, his children Harold Martin Jr., Rebecca Martin, and Amanda (Mike) Scelzi, and 6 grandchildren. He is also survived by 12 Nieces and Nephews, Marcus, Deanna, Michael, Jennifer, Jessica, Jamie, James, Holly, Johnny, Paul, Timothy & Jared.

A celebration of life and visitation will be held on Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Clifton Park Fire Department, 38 Old Route 146.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The Clifton Park Fire Department.
