Claire M. Straniere age 89 of Clifton Park passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Born on June 26, 1932 in the Bronx, she was the daughter of the late William and Sophie Lotz. She was predeceased by her husband Warren L. Straniere, sister Norma O’Neil, grandson Gregory, and her nephew Kevin O’Neil.

Claire worked as an office manager at State Farm in Bayside, NY for many years. Along with her husband, Warren, she enjoyed skiing, and taking trips around New England. She was a long-time communicant of St. Edward’s Church in Clifton Park.

She is survived by her son Michael (Claudia) Straniere, daughter Kathleen (Augie) Abbatiello, her grandchildren Tracey, Nichole, Augie, Christopher, Alicia, and Daniel and great-grandchildren Isabella, Finn, Christian, Mason, Marley-Rose, Angelina, and Ariela, and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 18th from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, in Clifton Park, with a funeral Mass to follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Edward’s Church in Clifton Park. Burial will be held in the Saratoga National Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory the Community Hospice.
