Obituary of James J. "Jimmy John" Madelone

James J. “Jimmy John” Madelone, age 79 of Halfmoon passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. Born on December 29, 1942, he was the son of the late James and Margaret Madelone. He was predeceased by his first wife Jane Madelone and his daughter Laura Rae Madelone.

 

Jim attended Mohonasen High School, where he was the captain of the basketball and soccer teams. He graduated from Colonna Beauty School in 1962; and enjoyed a long career as a hair stylist. He served his country in the Army National Guard. He owned and operated Hairtistic in Albany and the Private Setting salon out of his home. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and taking trips to the family camp on Lincoln Pond.

 

He is survived by his wife Judith (Robilatto) Madelone, daughters Lisa Bliss, Gina (Gerry) Angelini, Laura Marie (David) Lincoln, and Tara Madelone, and his grandchildren Chloe, Andrew, Megan, Chris, and Emily.

 

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 29 from 10:30 to 12 Noon, with a service at 12 Noon at the Catricala Funeral Home, 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park. Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie.

 

The family requests no flowers be sent. Donations may be made in his memory to the Living Hope Christian Church, 978 Saratoga Rd, Ballston Lake, NY 12019 or to the ALS Association by going to www.als.org/donate.
