Obituary of Aleksandra Musial Suchocki
Aleksandra Musial Suchocki, 81, died Monday, August 1, 2022. She was born in Lutcza, Poland on July 30, 1941, the daughter of the late Helena Jarosz Musial and Antoni Musial. She completed her nursing degree in Krakow, Poland and immigrated to the U.S. in 1968. She was a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital (Seton Health) in Troy for over 38 years working in pediatrics and ambulatory surgery taking care of countless patients during her career. Education was very important to her; she continued classes through Sage colleges and completed her B.S.N. at SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome in 1994. To this day, patients, physicians and colleagues remembered her strong nursing skills, kindness and good nature. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, devoted aunt and cousin. Her family and friends were the center and foremost priority of her life.
Aleksandra/ Sandy/ Sandra/ Leska was the beloved wife of the late William Peter Suchocki whom she married on September 8, 1973 and devoted mother to her children, Joann Suchocki Kehn, Katherine Suchocki and William M. Suchocki; mother-in-law to Chad M. Kehn and Aimee Suchocki, and grandmother/babci to Chad Michael Kehn Jr., John William Kehn, Aleksandra Grace Suchocki, and Ella Elizabeth Suchocki, all of Halfmoon. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister and brother, Stanislawa “Stacia” Lubas and Joseph Musial.
She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church in Cohoes, and a member of the Rosary Society. Proud of her Polish heritage, she belonged to the Polish National Alliance of Cohoes. She enjoyed traveling, the arts, Broadway shows, Polish dances, music, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She will be sorely missed.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 4th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home, 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park. Funeral services to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will begin on Friday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, and will depart the funeral home at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church in Cohoes. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
