Obituary of Vivian Van Arthos

Please share a memory of Vivian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Vivian Van Arthos, 79, of Ballston Spa, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014. Born May 7, 1935 in Queens, she was the daughter of Peter and Jean Pisciotta. Vivian is survived by Ted, her husband of 61 years, her daughter Melissa Ward, granddaughters Danielle and Christine, sister Lori LiCastri (New Paltz) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Vivian spent most of her life on Long Island. With family at the top of her priorities, she and Ted moved into the Saratoga area in the mid ‘90’s to be closer to her daughter and granddaughters. Vivian was a charismatic woman who was loved by all. Those that were close to her knew they were deeply loved in return. Vivian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. While her daughter, Melissa, was building her business, Vivian helped her by taking care of the girls, and has been an integral part of all of their lives. Vivian spoke to family often and enjoyed long chats with her sister daily. Her contagious laugh and spirited conversation that has filled the airwaves is now silenced. Vivian will be deeply missed. Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 19 from 1 to 2 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc. 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Saratoga Hospital Foundation
