Obituary of Owen M. Harblin

Owen M. Harblin, age 80, of Halfmoon passed away peacefully on Monday, October 24, 2022. Born on August 11, 1942, he was the son of the late Owen and Margaret Harblin.

Owen served his country in the US Army, achieving the rank of E-4 while completing Army Airborne Ranger School, and continued his service in the Army National Guard for 5 years, when he was honorably discharged.

He spent his career with General Electric in Schenectady, retiring in the Research & Development Center. He was very proud of the invention patents he received while working in the R & D Center.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to spend his time hunting.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Harblin, daughters Robin Zisa, and Carol Harblin, step-son Clifford Redmond, brother Christopher Harblin, nephew Jerry Harblin, 4 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his furry little friend, his Dachshund Trixie.

A calling hour will be held on Sunday, October 30  from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc. 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park.
