Obituary of Elaine N. Holohan

Elaine N. Holohan, age 80 of Ballston Lake passed away peacefully on December 19, 2022. She was born on October 21, 1942, in Putnam, CT. she met the love of her life, Peter Holohan at UCONN, got married, and made their home in Syracuse.

 

Elaine spent her career as a special education teacher’s assistant for the Syracuse City School District for many years. She loved playing bridge and go bowling with Doc and Donna. She was a longtime parishioner of All Saints Church in Syracuse, and served as a eucharistic minister.

 

She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Judy Clemens and her husband Peter Holohan. She is survived by her children Charles and Eileen Holohan, Cara and Stephen Theiner, and Bridget and John Scally, and her grandchildren Pierce, Shamus, Eamonn, Padraig, and Ewan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and of course her beloved Connecticut cousins who were like the siblings she never had.

 

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to a funeral mass at 12 p.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 2001 Route 9, in Round Lake. Burial will be St. Mary’s Cemetery in Waterford.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Audubon of New York, 2 3rd. St., Troy NY 12180.
