George Perry was the consummate professional administrator of both public schools and ASBO. He was a role model to many caring deeply about people, supporting the organizations and was a State and International leader, respected by all. He and Barbara gave tirelessly with time, travel and sage advice as both a friend and colleague. His support of past, current and future individuals enhanced their careers, including mine to become an ASBO International President and the Senior NY BOCES District Superintendent and a USCG Commodore . George- Thank you for your service to so many! As Khalil Gibran wrote-“You gave so much that you did not know that you gave at all”. Respectfully, Clark And Barbara Godshall

I worked with George in Cohoes, he being the Assistant Superintendent. I so appreciated his gusto and his kind attention to everyone he was in contact with. I whisper a quiet thank you from the heart. Carol Miller

Sorry for the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. My prayers and condolence to all.
George was a dear friend, colleague and my boss at Watervliet for 18 years. We both came to Watervliet in 1974 he as Superintendent and me as Principal of Watervlient Jr Sr HS.The transiton was new for me since I came from 13 yrs at Catholic High Schools[Lasalle and Cardinal Mc Closkey].His leadership and guidance was invaluable to me as i began my career in public education.
His leadership led to changes in academics and building projects at WHS plus the mergers of our elementary schools into one elementary school to name a few.His focus was always the students.no matter what the progams, projects etc were.
Thank you George for sharing your talent with us in Watervliet.
Rest in peace my friend
