I was saddened to read this news of Willy's passing. I grew up right next to the farm, The Thomas family. Willy was a wonderful man, always so kind and friendly and lending a hand to my mother whenever he could. Ruth you had a very wonderful man as you well know. My sincere sympathy to you and your family. I was unable to attend the wake and now the funeral as I was at a dear friends wake & funeral. My thoughts and prayers to the entire family. Have known the Petuske Family my whole life, from Willy’ mom & dad right up till their son’s. Grew up on the opposite end of Halfmoon Drive from present and former veggie stand. All are wonderful kind individuals. So sad to get this news, always ask about him and Ruthie when walking past their stand in warmer weather. Sadly we aren’t availed for services, but Nurse Judy and my heart’s, rest assuredly are with you all at this time.

We were so saddened to see of Willy's passing. Spent many happy times at the PetuskeFarm Stand for many years. Much laughter and stories were passed around during those summer days. Hugs and condolences to all who knew and loved Willy, especially Mama Petuske. Jody &John Keyser Wake Forest NC.

Remembering Mr Petuske fondly today. I grew up at the other end of Halfmoon Drive, but visited his vegetable stand a million times, especially in my adult years. Both he and Ruth were so kind to me, often throwing in a freebie in my bag as we joked and asked after each others families. I missed them when they retired, but their children became the same kind of vendors, sweet, friendly, and helpful. I’ll never forget Mr Petuske and will pray that his family finds the Peace of the Lord during this sad time.
