Obituary of Dennis J. Lester

Dennis J. Lester, age 76 of Stillwater passed away peacefully on May 25, 2023. Born on March 1, 1947, he was the son of the late Stanley and Hazel Lester. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Arlene "Cookie" Krupski.

Dennis spent his career as a warehouse worker for SS Pierce in Clifton Park, retiring after 33 years. he loved the travel, go fishing on his boat, camping, and hunting. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Emma Lester, children Scott (Jen) Lester, Brenda (Andrew) Peris, Heidi (Joshua) Steves, Timothy (Jill) Tinney, Daniel Tinney, and Andrew Tinney. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Tiffany, Brandon, Dalton, Noelle, Ashley, Aden, Mackenzie, Cheyanne, Jordan (Amber), Eileen, Manuel Kike, Eivissa, Auraya, Nathan (Nicole), and Alex (Emily), and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Robert Lester (Ednamay), many brother-in laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 1 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral service on Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Waterford. All are welcome to attend a luncheon at the Union Fire Company, 319 Milton Ave. in Ballston Spa following the burial.
