Obituary of Albert E. Mincher Sr.

Albert E. Mincher Sr., age 98 of Mechanicville passed away peacefully on August 29, 2023. Born on October 1, 1924, he was the son of the late George and Ada Mincher. He was predeceased by his first wife Olive Mincher and his second wife Bernice Mincher, and his son-in-law Edward Sabourin Sr.

Albert served in the Army Air Force, from 1940 to 1946. He was a gunner in the skies over Europe and was Honored with many Metals for his service.

Albert worked as a security guard for Behr Manning in Watervliet and Key Bank in Albany. He was a life member of the Halfmoon Fire Dept and served as a former Captain.

He is survived by his daughter Mary Ann Sabourin, grandchildren Rosemarie (Thomas) Hathaway, Edward (Paula) Sabourin Jr., Brian (Carrie) Sabourin, and Victoria (Wade) Schoenborn, eleven great-grandchildren, and his five great-great-grandchildren and his sister-in-law Gwen Picard.

A graveside service will be held 10am Friday September 15, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Colonie.
