Obituary of Gildo Radassao

Gildo L. Radassao, a longtime resident of Montrose, NY, passed away on October 25, 2023, at 85-years-old. Gildo was born on April 12, 1938 in Peekskill, NY to the late Angelo and Antoinette (Gioia) Radassao. He married his beloved wife, Nancy McIntyre; she passed away in December of 1980. Gildo served in the United States Army, from 1956-1958. He attended the Academy of Aeronautics, for aircraft mechanics from 1961-1964, at LaGuardia Airport. He also attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 1967-1968 in Daytona Beach, Florida. He was a corporate pilot, until he retired at the age of 62. Gildo liked to cook, was an avid lover of cats, member of the ELKS Club of Peekskill, NY and was a member of Westchester Aircraft Maintenance Association. After a career of traveling, he enjoyed spending time locally especially Upstate New York. In his earlier days, he liked to work on older cars and go hunting. Gildo is survived by his son Ronald; his brother Angelo and his nieces Christine O'Neil, Deidre Price and Jean Radassao. He was predeceased by his sister Doris (Nathaniel) Johnson and his brother Raymond. Gil spent 38 rich, rewarding years with his longtime companion, Linda Diaferia. Interment will be Friday December 1st at 12:30 pm at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
