Renée N. Jacobson, 87, entered into eternal rest in Heaven on February 14, 2015.

Renée was born on Christmas Day 1927 in Sidi Bel-Abbes, Algeria, the daughter of the late Jose and Mercedes Sola. In her mid teens, she went to France to work. On April 14, 1947, she arrived in New York City to marry George Wm. Wereskla, an American GI she had met during WWII. They were married for 20 years. Many years later, she was briefly married to Marty Jacobson before his passing in 1998.

During her lifetime, Renée worked at many jobs before retiring from the NYS Tax Department. She loved to travel and lived in several places, more recently Florida, from which she returned in 2012 to Saratoga Springs.

Predeceased by her beloved only child, George Wm. Wereskla II, she is survived by cherished daughter in law, Pamela Wereskla. She is also survived by a sister, Juliette LeMoigne, two brothers, Jean Segura and Gerard Segura and several nieces and nephews, all of France.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m., with a service at 7 p.m. at Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park. Burial will be in Clifton Park Village Cemetery in the spring.
