It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia M. Louis, 80, of Clifton Park, NY, on January 25, at St Peter's Hospital. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion and dedication to her family.

Pat, daughter of James F. McGaughan and Josephine M. McGaughan, grew up in Albany, spending many summers with her family at our beloved Burden Lake. She graduated from Vincentian Institute High School and shortly after, married the love of her life, Richie Louis. She worked in banking in her early years and then raised her three children, having the foresight to understand the value of a job at Siena College, where all three of her children graduated. She worked 30+ years at Siena in the Business Affairs office, getting to know thousands of students as they paid their tuition bills and cashed their checks for weekend beer and party money.

She was a woman of great strength, resilience and generosity, and loved nothing more than being around her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pat was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband, Richard W. Louis, Sr, and her brother, James J. McGaughan. Survivors include her children, Richard (Laura) Louis, Jr, Jill (Russell) Irving and Jennifer (Michael) Louis-Brown, her grandchildren, Nicole, Jessica, Riley, Madelyn, Clare, Emily, Christian and her great-grandchildren, Charles V, Henry and Wren, as well as her nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at St Peter's Hospital for their care, kindness and compassion.

Visiting hours will be at Catricala Funeral Home, 1597 Rt 9, Clifton Park, NY 12065 on Friday, February 2, from 4 to 6pm. A private service for family and friends will be at Jonesville Cemetery in the spring of 2024. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
