Joseph A Ballone Obituary

Joseph Anthony Ballone, 77, a resident of Clifton Park, NY and formerly of Colonie & Schenectady died Saturday, January 27, 2024 surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was born June 21, 1946 to the late Anthony and Rose DeCrescenzo Ballone. He proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Vietnam 1968-69 as a switchboard operator. After his return, he was a punch press operator in the Gas Turbine division of General Electric in Schenectady, NY for over 30 years.


He was a dedicated Yankees, Giants, Elvis and Young & the Restless fan. He enjoyed bowling, a well-manicured lawn and was an avid movie goer. He had previously served as an usher at St. Clare's Church in Colonie for many years. He was a loyal friend, a funny jokester and maintained a heart of complete goodness.


He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy Sikorski Ballone of Clifton Park, NY; daughters Lisa (Ron) Mnieckowski of Clifton Park, and Lori Ballone of Syracuse, NY; sister Addie Napolitano and niece Michelle Napolitano, both of Schenectady, NY; grandchildren Ella, Ethan, Max, Aaron, Luke and grandnephew Noah; and many, many first cousins.


Family and friends are invited an may call at St. Edward the Confessor Church on Thursday February 1,2024 from 5-7pm. A mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday February 2, 2024 at 11:30am at the Church. Burial to follow at Saratoga National Cemetery.
