Ballston Lake, NY. Paul L. Monast, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Ellis Hospital.
Born in Troy, NY, he was the son of Walter and the late Marie (Bourassa) Monast.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Jane Monast, his children, Michael Monast and Caitlin and (Andrew) Sherwood. He is survived by two brothers, Gerry and (Sharon) Monast, William and (Patricia) Monast and three sisters, Mary and (Thomas) Spadola, Michelle Monast, Kristie Monast and Nicolle Monast. He is also survived by three Granddaughters, "Happy" Harper Sherwood, "Noonie" Nora Sherwood and Zoey Sherwood who lovingly referred to him as "Papa", as well as numerous cherished nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Paul was a wonderful man who loved spoiling his granddaughters, playing golf, mowing the lawn, watching all types of sports, going to the beach, eating out, making people laugh, snuggling on the couch and doing the right thing. He was very considerate and good at being present in all ways for family and friends—especially generous with time, money, advice, and affection.
Calling hours will be held at the Catricala Funeral Home 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park on Monday March 4, 2024, from 4-7pm. A Funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday March 5, 2024, at 9am.
