Obituary of Kaoru Maekawa

Halfmoon, NY. Kaoru Maekawa age 58 passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 10, 2024. Born in Shizuoka Prefecture Japan he was the son of Hiroshi and Kiyo Maekawa. He was predeceased by his father. Kaoru is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Chiho, his mother Kiyo, one son Katsu, three daughters, Honomi, Misa and Yuma. Two Brothers Hiroki and Eiji also survived. Kaoru was the director of modular integration for TEL Technology Center in Albany for 30 years. He was an avid swimmer and runner. He liked to compete in local marathons when able. Kaoru enjoyed playing the guitar and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed camping and having barbecue with family. He will be missed. A celebration of life will be held at the Catricala Funeral Home 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 3-5pm.
