Clifton Park, NY. George C. Sinnott, age 79 passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday March 26, 2024, at Schuyler Ridge Residential Healthcare. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late William F. and Margaret (Morris) Sinnott. George is survived by his loving wife Barbara; his son Timothy Sinnott and his daughter Kathleen Sinnott. George is survived by one grandson Lucas A. Bagley: three brothers, William Sinnott, Michael and Anne Sinnott and Timothy and Tee Sinnott. George was predeceased by one brother Edward Sinnott. George loved to watch his grandson Lucas play baseball and football and would attend all his games. He loved spending time with family and friends and was known for his wicked sense of humor. George was a distinguished war veteran and an award-winning Commissioner of Civil Service once named Public Official of the Year by Governing Magazine for his transformation of New York's Chief Human Resource Agency Anyone who knew him, loved him. His love was unconditional. To say he will be missed is an understatement. It is our hope that comfort will be found in the endless memories and joy he created with family and friends. If you knew George you were lucky, if he was your friend you were blessed. "Keep the Faith" Calling hours will be held on Friday April 5, 2024, from 9:30am to 11:30am. At the Catricala Funeral Home 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, NY. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:30am.
