Halfmoon, NY. Teresa Ann Zurakowski, age 90 passed away unexpectedly at her home with her family by her side on Thursday, July 25, 2024.

Born in Utica, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Rybak) Stopera. Teresa was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Charles S. Zurakowski. They were married on February 11, 1956, at St. Joseph's Church in Utica NY.

Teresa is survived by her daughters, Marcia (Randi) Roberts and Gail (Jeff Lino) Hessney and a son, John (Maggie) Zurakowski. Her sister Gladys Davis, and sister-in law Gladys Zurakowski and brother-in-law Fred Zurakowski. She is survived by her grandchildren, Lauren Roberts, Erick (Laura) Roberts, Alyson (Eric) LaPan, Krysten (Zane Gregg) Zurakowski and John Zurakowski, Jr. Her great-grandsons Deacon and Brooks Gregg and many dear nieces and nephews.

Teresa was predeceased by her brother, Theodore Stopera and her sisters, Sally Howe and Jane Scatko.

Teresa was always welcoming to her family and friends and would cheer "hail, hail, the gangs all here" whenever there were gatherings at her home. Teresa was a homemaker until her children were older and she then went to work at the Shenendehowa School District for several years as support staff. Teresa enjoyed traveling with Charlie to casinos, visiting family, friends and traveling to the Caribbean with her daughter.

Calling hours will be held at the Catricala Funeral Home on Wednesday July 31, 2024, from 10:30 -12:30pm with a funeral service being held at 12:30pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 2:00pm.
