Mary M. Smith of Malta

Mary M. "Maggie" Smith age 75 of Malta joined her lord peacefully on Tuesday Oct 1 2024, at Mary's Haven in Saratoga Springs, with her husband and son at her side. Born and raised in South Troy. She has now joined her son, Shaun Patrick. The daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Hickey Flynn and her siblings Joan Millard, Anne Louise Paul and her brother John Flynn.

Mary was an Accountant for the Rensselaer Sheriff's Office, and Saratoga County Mental Health. Retiring at Saratoga Hospital in 2007 after 20 years of service.

She is survived by her husband Leonard H. Smith, a son Leonard J. (Laura) Smith, a brother Joseph (Donna) Flynn and a sister Catherine Herald. Two grandchildren Connor Moran and Kirsten Smith. Lifelong friends, Karen Rocque and Carrie Farley. A nephew Charles Smith and a niece Michele (Shaun) Looney. Brother-in-law Charles B. (Patricia) Smith.

Calling hours will be held on Friday October 4, 2024 from 9-11am with a funeral service at 11am at the church of the Resurrection in the Town of Halfmoon, town hall. Burial in St. Jean de Baptiste Cemetery Troy, N.Y.
