Denise Marie DeCerce, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, in Augusta, GA. Born on April 20, 1967, in Niskayuna, NY, Denise lived a life full of love, creativity, and service to others. She grew up in Schenectady, NY, attending Linton High School and graduating in 1985. At SUNY Plattsburgh, she joined Phi Kappa Chi, forming lifelong bonds with her sorority sisters. Denise's creative passions included writing, sewing, and designing, and her work inspired many. She also found joy in simple pleasures, especially with her puppy, Dixie. Her compassion extended to charitable efforts, supporting 9/11 victim's families and military service members as well as first responders, leaving a lasting legacy of kindness. She is survived by her husband, Charles DeCerce, and her three children: Christian Desbiens, Andrew Desbiens, and Zachary Schwind. She also leaves behind other cherished friends and family. A period of visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Catricala Funeral Home, 1597 Route 9 Clifton Park NY. A celebration of Denise's life will be held at 10:00 am at Catricala Funeral Home on Friday, January 17, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Captain Youth and Family Services in her honor. Denise's laughter, creativity, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
