Larry was a great and giving spirit with a glowing smile. Many years ago we had a display at the stand that he kept an i on with amusement when it took flight. We both had a big laugh. He will be missed by many if they have any sense. Thoughts are with your family.

To the DeVoe family,
I am very sad to hear of your dad's passing. Your Dad & Mom's work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit is something I very much admire. I have very fond memories of working on the farm and the relationships I built with the DeVoe family, Averill family, Glasheen family, as well as the other families that we worked together with. I learned so many valuable lessons, including what it means to work hard, work as a team, work toward a goal and compete. I am very thankful to your dad, mom and your entire family for providing me the opportunity.
My deepest condolences.

Paul and I will miss him greatly we loved coming in coming fort apples or produce. We remember when he had that 20 something pound butternut that he wasn't ok letting go then one day he said to Paul if he wanted to buy it. Paul couldn't be any happier that he was able to get that squash he brought with him every where he even had me draw a face on it so it looked like a little person.

My condolences to the DeVoe Family.
Larry, we never met but we have been Brothers for 58 years; I was Raised in 1963. I read your obituary in the Schenectady Gazette and was impressed with your many accomplishments. Now I have the New York Grand Lodge announcement acknowledging your achievements. Congratulations on a life well lived. If I were younger I would proudly attend your Masonic Funeral, but I will be with you in spirit. At 82 my activities are limited, especially when it involves driving at night.
I am sure your family will miss you, but never forget you. To them I say be proud and never stop loving. He was a wonderful person and a great Mason.
Good-bye, my Brother. Enjoy the reward of being with the Great Architect.
Peace and Love,
Phil Moore

I was the produce manager at Glenville WalMart, buying corn from DeVoe’s Orchard. Larry was such a kind man, he actually called me on my last day there to say goodbye. I’ve thought of him often. My condolences to the DeVoe family.—Lynda Lukas

My condolences to the DeVoe family. The first time I meet Larry and Mrs. DeVoe it was about 20 years ago, Larry was seating at the table at the stand having a cup of coffee offered me a cup and I seat with him and we started talking about the farm and how things have changed over the years. Larry was full of great knowledge of both farming and his community he loved. Over the years every time I stopped by we chatted and he always made you feel welcome. Now Larry can be with his loving wife and they both can look down on the family and keep guiding them throughout the years to come. Rest In Peace Larry it was a great honor knowing you.
