Ed was a remarkable man of subtle words, who accepted life's constellation of issues in a mild manner way. Dawn and I always enjoyed Ed's company when sitting on East Porch, discussing everything from his childhood growing up in Germany, bicycling in the Alps as a teenager and eventually immigrating to America. ED was exceptionally friendly, even inviting us to share Erika and his German heritage attending brauhaus events in the Catskills over dinner, a tall glass of beer and dancing to the music of a traditional German Oompah Band, so much fun.
