Obituary of Edgar Konig

Edgar Konig, age 84 of Ballston Lake passed away peacefully on March 15, 2023. Born on October 10, 1938 in Germany, he was the son of the late Josef and Walburga Konig. He was predeceased by his sister Edith Ott and several siblings in Germany.

Ed spent his career with United Condensers in New Jersey, retiring as plant manager. He enjoyed dancing, woodworking, and camping trips with his wife. He was an avid soccer fan and served as secretary of the German-American Soccer Club in Yonkers. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Erika Konig, daughter Linda (Ray) Echevarria, son Robert (Maria) Konig, grandchildren Christian Echevarria, and Marco and Michael Konig, and his siblings Helmut and Ursela.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 26, from 1 to 3 p.m., with a memorial service at 3 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9 in Clifton Park.
