Clifton Park, NY. Beverly A. Lockrow, age 89, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2024 after a brief illness. Born on July 14, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Rose Mary Vysehrad and William Jones. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, John C. Lockrow, son John C. Lockrow Jr., and her sisters Alice, and Margaret. Beverly graduated from Draper High School in 1953 and worked for 31 years as a cashier at Price Chopper Supermarket in Clifton Park where she was known to many as "Price Chopper Bev". She was proud of the loyalty shown by her customers and went out of her way to ensure they were greeted with a smile and a kind word. She worked 40-hours a week at age 85, not for the money but because she loved being with people. After she retired, former customers often asked "When are you coming back to work? We miss you." Beverly is survived by twin sister Beatrice, sons David Lockrow, Edward (Elin) Lockrow, and Daniel Lockrow, and her grandchildren Amber, Owen, Timothy (Jennifer), Erica, Johnathan, Rosemary, and Kathrin and great grandson, Matthew Calling hours will be held on Monday June 10 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, in Clifton Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday June 11 at 10 a.m. at St. Edward's Church in Clifton Park. Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Glendale Nursing Home for the extraordinary level of care and compassion shown to Beverly and the Lockrow family.
